Rosie O’Donnell shadows Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s return to ‘View’

Rosie O’Donnell called Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s return to “The View” “strange” and insinuated that the conservative personality was the reason she stopped watching the show.

“I saw it,” the 60-year-old comedian said in a TikTok video Thursday, referring to Hasselbeck’s appearance on the ABC talk show the day before.

“I remembered why I don’t want to watch it with her anymore. Her little post-its, I don’t know,” she added.

Rosie O’Donnell said watching Elisabeth Hasselbeck on “The View” reminded her why she stopped watching the show.

O’Donnell referred to the “Fox & Friends” alum’s decision to criticize President Biden with post-it notes during a segment.

“Americans can’t afford your America,” read the first, followed by, “Gas prices hurt us.”

The “Survivor” alum followed up those notes with another, reading, “Recession is real” and “Even though I didn’t vote for you, you have my prayers.”

O’Donnell called Hasselbeck’s move a “strange one” and concluded, “Yes. I hope you have a nice day. And if you saw that yesterday, I hope you have recovered.”

The actress worked with Hasselbeck on “The View” from 2006 to 2007, and left the show after an infamous fight.

Hasselbeck retired in 2013 — and she had choice words for O’Donnell when the “SMILF” alum returned in her absence the following year.

“What can ruin a vacation more than hearing this kind of news?” Hasselbeck said in a 2014 “Fox & Friends” appearance.

“Speaking of not securing the border,” she said at the time. “Here comes ‘The View’, the woman who spat in the face of our military, in the face of her own network and really in the face of a person who stood by her and conducted civilized debates for the time she was there.”

When O’Donnell spoke to Variety five years later about being “slightly in love” with Hasselbeck, the former “Look for Less” host called her comments “disturbing” and said she “immediately” started falling for them. pray.

“[Hasselbeck] was so afraid of the concept of a lesbian in love with her that she should go straight to Jesus, don’t go through, don’t take $200,” O’Donnell joked on Instagram Live in March 2019. “She kept calling on Jesus.

“Yes, Jesus was going to save her from the gay man who thought she was cute!”
